First Steps

Lynx is a fully-featured World Wide Web(WWW) client for users running cursor-addressable, character-cell display devices (e.g., vt100 terminals, vt100 emulators running on PCs or Macs, or any other character-cell display). PTLynx is a PTSource port for windows of the famous Lynx browser with tabbed browsing, pdf reader, image viewer, video player and TOR ready.

Quick Start
  • For the complete help in using just type 'h' on your keyboard.
  • For typing a url just type 'g' on your keyboard.
  • Jump thru the links using the shift key.
  • Pull the page down with the space key.
  • Use the arrow keys to navigate back and forward thru the pages.

Enabling Tor for privacy

Versions after 3 do not start Tor panel by default. To enable Tor browsing change launch.ini from start.exe to startwtor.exe and enable the proxy lines in PTLynx.cfg.

Here is the steps to fallow

  • Open launch.ini on a text editor and change start.exe to startwtor.exe.
  • Open PTLynx.cfg and uncomment the 2 proxy lines.
